MASTCLIMBERS AT UNIVERSITY OF ULSTER NEW BELFAST CAMPUS.
We had the pleasure of providing a series of mastclimbers to McLaughlin and Harvey site in Belfast working on the first stage of the new University of Ulster campus build and renovation.
AER Access were able to provide mastclimbers at 5 separate locations on site, ranging from 48m long to 36 meters high and including smaller material hoists to make a rounded solution for your specialist access requirements.
We were able to complete autocad drawings to support our method statement to pinpoint exact dimensions and span of mastclimbers. AER used a combination of mastclimbers on this project to ensure precision installation of glass structures. Decks of the mastclimber were specially extended to gain access to loading bays and the building itself wans’t a straight facade so extra care needed to be taken to ensure the machines would manoeuvre out to the correct depth.
The project spanned 8 levels with the height just under 40mtrs high. The access plan was designed for hoists to be fitted for materials and personnel, plus additional mastclimbers to provide suitable access for the installation of the curtain walling and rainscreen soffit. As you can see from the photographs there were a mix of mastclimbers on site from single mast units ans double mast units, each client will have their individual requirements which we here at AER Access can adapt for you to ensure you are getting a solution that fits your needs.
There is still 2 more sections of the build to continue and you can get a full understanding of the entire project from this link which shows an overview of the entire project including a demolition gallery.
